A/Prof Beena Ahmed, IHealthE Connected Health Pillar Lead, was recognised for her outstanding achievements and contributions in digital health in the 2022 Telstra Health Brilliant Women in Digital Health Awards.

The awards profile the careers and stories of women who inspire future leaders in the health and aged care sectors, and contribute to greater gender diversity in digital health. Beena is founder of Say 66 and her research into AI processing translates into an automated speech therapy system for children with speech disorders.

The Tyree IHealthE team were proud to attend the award ceremony on Thursday 13th October, chaired by Elizabeth Koff AM, Managing Director of Telstra Health, with a fantastic keynote speech by Jamila Rizvi, Deputy Managing Director at Future Women.
